Catering Concepts Inc. was officially opened in May of 1993 by the business team of Eddy Byrne and Susan Byrne, with just 700 square feet of office and culinary preparation space. As former owners of the Boxing Cat Café in Chesapeake, Virginia, the business partners were inspired by the many referrals they received from area Event Planners and former Caterers. They found their colleagues to be in search of a quality caterer in which they could entrust with their discriminating clients’ needs. Thus, the desire to fill that off-premise catering need was sparked and the Catering Concepts, Inc venture began.
Our first clients and colleagues referred us to new clients, and those clients became repeat clients, and we watched the business grow and grow. And as they say, the rest is history; a 25 year history to be exact (and counting!). By May 1995, Catering Concepts, Inc. was in search of a larger space to accommodate its growing operation. We moved to our current location that is over 5,000 square feet of office and preparation space and we remain in that same space today.
Over the years, 604 Jack Rabbit Road has become our home away from home and the staff our family. Owners Eddy and Susan employ a full time staff that makes their operation run seamlessly. A complete lineup of Event Specialists, Trained Chefs and Culinary Staff, Event Designers, a Staffing Coordinator, and bookkeepers keep Catering Concepts, Inc. successful and one of the top rated special event and wedding caterers in Virginia.
